ROLE SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate is a hands-on Guidewire ClaimCenter Developer who is strong on configuration, integration or both across project and maintenance portfolios with substantial experience in owning, running, and supporting Guidewire ClaimCenter platform and integrations around it.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for Guidewire ClaimCenter development based on new/change requirements
- Collaborate with BA, Development, and QA Team, manage scoping, sizing, planning, development, implementation, and support for projects within the Claims portfolio
- Responsible for ensuring that unit and functional tests are integrated into solutions and high level of code coverage
- Manage the overall support of ClaimCenter eco-system, including integrations for Policy, Financial and CRM systems as well as integrations with bureaus, 3rd party vendors and other service providers
- Manage and maintain the technical / solution documentation including architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, deployment diagrams and production runbooks
- Manage, maintain, and govern engineering standards around security, secure-coding, logging, alerting, build, deployment, and integrations
REQUIRED TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (in order of level of need):
- 8+ years in IT field with 6+ years within Guidewire ClaimsCenter in Integration development roles is required
- Expertise in Guidewire APIs, GX Model and Product Models
- 4+ Experience with Scrum or other Agile development methodologies is required
- 6+ years hands-on experience working with J2EE, Tomcat, XML/Web Services/ RDBMS (SQL Server preferred)
- 6+ Expert level hands-on experience with XML, GUnit, Jenkins, GIT/Subversion/TFS, Code Coverage and Code Scan Plugin / Tools (Sonarqube, Netsparker, etc.) and frameworks
- Expertise in Guidewire APIs, GX Model and Product Models
- Working knowledge of Apache Tomcat or similar application servers
- Hands-on experience and expertise with Java and GOSU programming, and strong fundamentals with OODD
- Development experience with Batch Processes, Message Queues and Event Messaging within Guidewire ClaimCenter
- Technical experience with product migrations / conversion is required – by developing migration utilities leveraging ClaimCenter APIs
- Experience with DevSecOps and establishing and managing CI/CD pipelines for Claims build / deployments
- Experience in P&C insurance is required (Commercial Insurance is preferred)
- Strong skills in problem solving, resource and portfolio planning and budgeting
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Guidewire ClaimCenter Certification is highly preferred
