Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power BI Lead with 8+ years of experience to join our Data & Analytics practice. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Power BI, data modelling, and expert in data visualizations, along with a proven track record of turning data into actionable insights. The Power BI Lead will work closely with various stakeholders to understand their reporting needs, design, and develop dashboards, and ensure data accuracy and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform data modelling and create robust data models that support reporting needs.
• Integrate data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files.
• Optimize Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, and standardization.
• Conduct data analysis to support business decision-making processes.
• Implement and maintain security standards and practices in Power BI reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and reports.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices and suggest improvements to existing reports and processes.
• Document data processes, data models, and report configurations.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Experience: 8+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, Azure Analysis Services, and M language.
• Strong data modelling skills, with experience in designing and implementing data models.
• Experience with SQL and querying databases.
• Expert in creating good visualizations for the client requirements.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Analytical Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Experience in identifying and resolving data quality issues.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Other Skills:

• Attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in training and supporting end-users.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Azure services, particularly Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Certification in Power BI or related technologies.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Additional Information:

• Looking for a Power BI Technical Lead. Candidate should act like a team lead.
• Over 8 years of experience with at least 6 years of experience with Power BI.
• 2+years of experience as a Technical Lead.
• As a Technical Lead, needs to manage 4-5 team members and should be open to work as an Individual Contributor based on the projects.
• Must have.
• Azure Analysis Services and M-Language.
• Data modelling, SQL.
• ADF, Databrick knowledge.
• Version control like is GIT.
• Nice to have.
• Azure SQL Database/Azure Synapse Analytics.
